Kitchens in Mazatlán vary by building type and location, but they are designed to support everyday living.
Most of our rentals feature:
- A gas stove and oven, which is very common in single-family homes and low-rise buildings (under 3 stories).
- A refrigerator, microwave, and essential cookware
- Small appliances, including a drip coffee maker, toaster, and blender
In high-rise buildings, gas is not permitted, so kitchens typically include electric cooktops instead of gas stoves. Ovens are less common in Mexico, so some condos may not have one. Dishwashers are also not standard, but don’t worry — if there’s no dishwasher, you’ll always find a drying rack for easy handwashing.
Having a kitchen gives you options. You can enjoy relaxed breakfasts at home, prepare fresh meals from local markets, or cook just often enough to balance out your dining budget. Then, when you’re ready to explore, or if you just don’t feel like washing dishes, Mazatlán offers no shortage of amazing restaurants, taco stands, seafood spots, and cafés.

Many guests use sites like Amazon Mexico to have additional kitchen items delivered directly to their rental, often within just a few days.

Water Filtration and Drinking Water
Some kitchens come equipped with a built-in water filtration system, making it easy and safe to drink water directly from the tap. In other properties, guests use large garrafón water jugs, which are common throughout Mazatlán and very easy to arrange for delivery. A full jug typically costs around $50 pesos, including a tip for the delivery driver. In many neighborhoods, on a specific day of the week, if you leave the empty jug outside your door with a $50 peso bill on top (or underneath), it will be swapped for a full one.
To dispense the water, you can use a simple manual pump that fits on top of the jug, or opt for a rechargeable electronic pump for added convenience. Some properties also have a standing water dispenser, where you must place the jug upside down into the unit.
Wi-Fi That Supports Work and Streaming
Reliable internet is a must, especially for digital nomads and remote workers. All of our properties include Wi-Fi in the rent, when you are staying short-term or mid-term (up to 6-months). If you stay for longer than 6-months, the internet is often charged separate from the rent.
While internet speeds in Mazatlán may be slightly slower than in the U.S. or Canada, they are more than adequate for:
- Video calls
- Streaming services
- Remote work and online meetings
