Families can rent bikes or tandem bikes and enjoy one of the longest oceanfront bike paths in Mexico. There can be a lot of people who use the malecon for exercise, or just to get out…so it can be busy at times. If your little ones will have their own bikes, it will be important to go over some safety rules before heading out. Ride slowly, and always be prepared to stop if needed.

Vendors set up on the weekends, and this can be a great place to get sousveniers or toys for the kids. You will often see kids running around and playing in the kiosk in the center of the plaza. They love to run around, and it’s a confined area, so it’s easier to keep an eye on them when they are up there.
